MEANING

Young Libertine is about taking risks, making changes & doing things that make you feel alive. Sometimes it makes you your own worst enemy but sometimes it removes you from your comfort zone & it’s the best thing you’ve ever done. I’d rather suffer at my own hand from risky decisions than play it safe for the rest of my life and wish I’d done more with it. Choices are there for all of us everyday, your whole life can change in a week, even a day. This song is about being brave enough to make those decisions, do those things, and become whoever it is you want to be.

MUSIC / BACKGROUND

This was the last track we wrote & recorded for the E.P & obviously is the title track of the record. It was recorded in our second sitting in Glasgow, we knew how we wanted to end the record at that point & this track was the perfect one to do it with. We had the best times in Glasgow recording ‘Young Libertine’ & this track really captured all that, it has all the punch and the drive of the other tracks, but it has a real feel good factor too, that’s why we chose it to finish the record.
